Facilitated by CSUF's own Registered Dietitian Jimmy Alvarado and the TitanWell Nutrition Advocate peer health education team, this workshop is designed to help you optimize nutrition for peak performance. We’ll discuss:
- Calorie, carb, fat, and protein needs and timing
- How to fuel up before, during, and after activity
- Easy meal prep and snack ideas
- Hydration and supplements—Sports drinks, BCAAs, creatine, protein & pre-workout powders, and more
- Considerations for weight gain and weight loss
- Easy physical activity ideas for busy students
Workshop includes interactive lecture, Q&A, and giveaway/opportunity drawing. Free lunch will be provided as you assemble your Performance Plate in partnership with The Gastronome. As the old saying goes, “a journey of 10,000 steps begins with a single…meal!"
